Meet Queenie!

Monday, June 16th, 2025

Queenie was found roaming around a housing estate where people were feeding her while she was looking for attention. Queenie is a friendly adult cat (5-6 years old) with a little bit extra weight, and needs a lovely home where her meal size can be controlled. She is playful and seeks attention from humans, but she is not interested in other cats. She would prefer to be the only cat in the house where she would get enough attention, have toys to play with, and ideally access to the back garden. Not mandatory, but she spent time living outside and is still curious to see what is happening there.

Queenie’s size and age shouldn’t deceive you. She can play with wiggly toys and run around the house. She even learned how to switch a toy on batteries to chase for the butterfly. She might not like to be picked up, but will happily join you on your sofa, or check around the house to see what you are doing. She will bump her head on you and ask for chin rubs, while purring loudly.

When she was found, she was not able to properly care for her fur, so part of the matted fur on the back was shaved by vets to allow for the new fur to grow. She now looks like she is sporting an inverse mohawk, which makes her even more special. Soon enough you will not be able to see the difference. She also likes to be scratched in that spot.

Queenie is fully vaccinated, micro-chipped, litter trained, and ready to look for the new home.
